Estate Representation

John F. Enser (1898-1968)

Vose Galleries represents the estate of John Enser, an extremely talented man who travelled the country and rest of the world on various sketching trips that provided him with a wealth of paintable material. Scenes of New England proved to be his favorite to paint, as well as his native Texas. In a letter to the Galleries written by his wife Deirdre in 1970, she wrote, “John loved to visit with your wonderful Dad when he went into the Vose Galleries. His admiration and respect for all your family was very sincere.” Vose Galleries has held three successful exhibitions of his New England landscape paintings, in 2003, 2005 and most recently in Spring 2007.
