Phillip B Parsons (1896-1977)

Phillip Brown Parsons was a painter and illustrator, born in West Medford, Massachusetts, in 1896. His illustrations and cover art appeared in numerous publications, including the Youth’s Companion, National Sportsman and 4-H Horizons.  Parsons was a member of the Guild of Boston Artists and the Concord Art Association, and had two one-man shows at Doll & Richards Gallery in Boston. In addition to his magazine illustrations, Parsons also created images for jig-saw puzzles and calendars, and designed cover art for L. L. Bean catalogues.
