"Artists need to learn to paint what they see and not what they think. Skies aren’t always blue, or trees green. This spring painting gave me an opportunity to play with shifting colors by rendering the trees a bit purple and the sky a lovely shade of peach. I then cast the sky’s warm glow down onto the spring greens of the newly emerging marsh grasses."
