"Elliot Offner’s flair for the dramatic enlivens his Smaller Cambridge Pheasant in a rapid flash of action. The swooping curve of the bird’s left wing can be admired from any angle, with every change in viewing position creating a new effect. As in nature there are no straight lines to be found. The small, textured area on the pheasant’s back, where the patinated bronze conjures associations with moss-crusted tree bark, is a ruffled network of light and shadow. Offner’s work is a treat to revisit over and over, finding new detail each time."
