Jacob I. Greenleaf (1887-1968)

Jacob Greenleaf was born in Estonia in 1887 and studied art in Europe before immigrating to the United States.  He exhibited widely during the 1930s and 1940s at the National Academy of Design, Mint Museum, North Shore Art Association, and the Copley Society. Eventually, Greenleaf settled on Bearskin Neck in Rockport, Massachusetts. He was a member of the Copley Society, the North Shore and the Rockport Art Associations.
